On finding a new van

A few weeks ago I began the chapter of finding a new van to live in. It has been very difficult. And since I have such a specific need, my options are very limited. The stress and challenge has been consuming my attention and energy which is why I haven't written a lot.

I have driven about 7 vans now across the south. Frustratingly, I have found Vanessa to have the best drive train. The smoothest acceleration, the cleanest engine feel, the tightest stearing, and the smoothest ride. If only she didn't have a list of failings including rust that make her not feesible for the next 5-10 years.

I have seen how markets for this van are up in general. I have seen how certain markets are grossly overpriced. I have seen people who don't fully appreciate the value of their van. And others who try to pawn a van off on me.

Sadly, this has been so difficult I must stop for a bit to take care of my body. I am crashing hard, riding on adrenaline and drifting mentally.

I am confident Vanessa will last, and I will find my next van.
