I woke slow today. Way too much yesterday. I wasn't moving until noon. Ugh. But I found a road called skyline drive with public land. So I went.

Atop the ridge was a fire tower. There I spoke with Mike for a while, a retired navy vet with a hobby for jukeboxes. It was nice. Some younger guy rolled up on us and butted in for a bit but didn't stay long thankfully. I don't know what it is about younger people, men, but I find them off-putting regularly. However mature, older people are awesome!

So I roll on down to the Pagoda. Woah. Scenic. There I met Jamar and C (2000?). We smoked a bit and drank our drinks. Jamar and I spoke about taking control of your life and making it a reality. He was right in the thick of actualizing a dream and that was really cool to hear about.

I spent the rest of sunlight up here. Really taking it easy. It got cold so fast though. Fuck. Speaking of, it's been very nice to not be spending money. Killing my habit of eating out is so good. I want to eat spicy thai food everyday. And maybe I'll get to cooking it myself one day. But for now, I am happy to be squelching useless habits
