On burning memorabilia

As part of van life, I had to purge most of my stuff. I never had a overload of stuff but I still had plenty to get rid of. Of course, the hardest things to get rid of were my old memorabilia. But that is going to change on Sunday.

I have always been a bit of an archivist. I am fine with this. Mostly because I record words, and not hold on to physical things. I will indefinitely hold on to certain journals, as they contain much of my mindest and experience which I will need to draw on at some point. But other things like notes passed, and small gifts must go.

I am going to burn which is safe to do so. Much of the stuff I've held on to are memories associated with those I love. In recognizing I have always been too attached to the past, I must let go of these things. For evidence of their burden remains elusive in daily life. Classic let go bullshit. Wow I'm so interesting...

I hope I follow through.

I need to move on.

I need to be free.
