Route 100 & Pinnacle View in VT
chronograph ~ 2017-07-08Yesterday as I left Burlington Vermont, I stopped at a information rest area and the guy suggested I take route 100. Then I found an epic spot for sunset, so I spent the night there. Holy shit what a day.
Warren Falls
Along route 100 I stopped at Warren Falls. There were tons of people there. I wish I could have gone in, but with my fresh tattoos I opted not. I was very pleased that I had the freedom to stop whenever for however long.
Texas Falls
Further down was Texas Falls. When I arrived no one was around. Feeling hot and brazen I went topless as I romped around the rocks. And of course, some people began to arrive. A total of five cars pulled up in a super short amount of time. And here I am with my light sunburn and swimsuit top tan line. LOL. It felt good to not give a shit.
Rochester Farmers Market
I stopped because I saw a farmers market. I had been itching for Maple Syrup lately so I got a small jar from a couple. Then walked over the guy with a new Sprinter. We chatted about shit we've done. Interesting guy who's done a lot. Gave up Alaskan fishing for farm life. Turned out he was also selling sausage. Had to buy. A signature Viking recipe.
Searching for sunset
The day was ending and I thought, I must find a good spot. I stopped at a gas station. I approached a local teen. He had just the spot in mind. I followed him for about twenty minutes and he pointed me down a road. I was unprepared for what the rest of the night would bring.
Pinnacle
The view, epic, the couple I chatted with, cute and entertaining. I play my violin. Find out an orchestra is playing nearby and will set off fireworks we will be able to see! WHAT!? How did I luck out like this? How? So I say fuck it, I'm spending the night here. I don't care if cops come and kick me out. Sunrise will be great.
Sunrise
My body, the universe, whatever, wanted me to see the sun rise. I woke up without alarm just as first light broke. After the excitement I went back to bed for a nap. I almost don't want to leave. But I will. I must. I can't wait to come back here some day.
Homeward bound
I must return home for now. And get back to my "to do" list. I must get focused now. I have a lot to sell, buy, fix, modify, prepare. The solar eclipse is coming!
