As in The Alchemist: Omens

The universe does strange things. And I decided to act on the messages being shown to me. I ran into someone I hadn't seen for two years. And I may yet alter my plans for this trip.

After leaving the lake house in NH I drove to the nearest larger town. Seeking caffeine and internet I found a cozy place in downtown. But it's closed! No wonder. It's a holiday. So I ate lunch and begun to feel dizzy.

I spent most of the afternoon lying down fighting the vertigo. When I was finally ready to leave I found a gas station before the highway. Two people were holding a sign up hoping for a ride. I glanced at the location. I went into the gas station.

For a number of minutes I hemmed and hawed about whether I would offer a ride. I'd never done that before. And I only have one seat in Vanessa. After working up courage I went over.

Turns out, Firefly, a Burning Man cousin in the woods of Vermont is about to begin. They were hoping for a ride there. And coincidently, one of the girls I met two years ago while I was there! What a trip.

Coincidently, they had already called a friend for a ride so my offer was moot. But this has inspired me to find out if I can go to the event. I would gladly pay to go for this. I am going to drive in now and see what the deal is. Then on my way back from Burlington I will hopefully spend the last couple days at Firefly :)
